This is a fantastic opportunity for a geologist looking to develop their underground experience, broaden their technical capability and progress their career within a supportive, safety‑focused environment. You will work closely with mining and technical teams, gaining exposure across all aspects of underground geology with strong mentoring and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and validate geological data through underground face mapping, sampling and diamond drilling
- Provide geological direction for ore drive development to maximise ore recovery and efficiency
- Log diamond drill core and validate data to support high‑quality geological modelling
- Track drilling activities and provide end‑of‑hole calls to optimise performance and cost
- Maintain accurate grade control, material movement and stockpile tracking
- Complete daily, weekly and end‑of‑month geological reporting and reconciliations
- Support stope reconciliations, drill planning and geological interpretation
- Maintain high‑quality handover routines between shifts
- Actively promote safety, compliance and continuous improvement on site
- Mentor and support Junior and Graduate Geologists within the team
About You
Essential- Bachelor of Science (Geology) or equivalent
- Minimum 2.5 years’ underground mining experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
- Experience with underground face mapping, sampling and diamond drilling
- Working knowledge of Leapfrog, Surpac or similar geological modelling systems, with a willingness to further develop technical capability
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and Word)
- Current unrestricted WA C Class Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance (issued within the last 12 months)
